Top Ten Summer Transfer of 2017
Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva is set to become Manchester City's first signing of the summer, sources have told ESPN FC. Silva, 22, arrived in Manchester on Thursday for a medical and to complete talks over a move to the Etihad Stadium in a deal that could be worth around 65 million euros.
Liverpool have completed the signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma. Sources close to Liverpool told ESPN FC that the total deal is worth 39 million euros and could be a club-record transfer fee, depending on the exchange rate of the British pound against the euro. Liverpool paid 35m euros to Newcastle for Andy Carroll in January 2011. Roma, though, said the deal was worth an initial 42 million euros , while incentives could add an additional 8 million euros. Salah signed a five-year deal, one source said, and will wear No. 11, with Roberto Firmino agreeing to move to No. 9.
